Fund Supported: Innovation & Enterprise Seed Fund
In his final year at TUS, Jamal came up with an idea for a mobile app that streamlines communication for care workers. He entered a campus startup competition but didn’t have the resources to develop the prototype. Thanks to a micro-grant from the Innovation & Enterprise Seed Fund, Jamal was able to build a working MVP and attend a startup bootcamp.
That exposure helped him land an angel investor. Today, his app is being piloted by healthcare providers in two counties—and Jamal employs two TUS interns every year.
“Without that first €2,000 from the TUS fund, I don’t think any of this would’ve happened. That was the spark.”
